I-S boys now 18-0 this season

Parker Prahl scored 28 points to lead the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team to a 63-30 nonconference win over Marathon Feb. 8.

Nineteen of his points came in the first half as the Thunderbirds built a 36-9 lead at the break.

The T-Birds then outscored the Red Raiders 27-21 in the second half.

Brock Wester scored eight points for Iola-Scandinavia, while Grant Warren, Tyler Underwood and Nathan Hanke led Marathon with six points each.

The T-Birds improved to 18-0 on the season and will host Sturgeon Bay at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, and Athens at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14.
