Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 8

• Aug. 1 – A New London man on Buelow Road reported his boat trailer was stolen out of his barn.

• Aug. 1 – A Clintonville woman called for a welfare check on her parents. A known drug addict was staying with her parents and there might be drugs on the premise they were unaware of.

• Aug. 1 – A Manawa man reported property damage to some parked tractors.

• Aug. 1 – A Clintonville man on County Trunk I reported the death of an 81-year-old female.

• Aug. 1 – A Fremont man reported that the Waupaca sheriff’s river patrol boat pulled up next to him and dented his boat.

• Aug. 1 – A Weyauwega man on the E4000 block of U.S. Highway 10 reported a female was harassing him online.

• Aug. 1 – A Manawa woman on Center Street reported a man swore at her while she was outside.

• Aug 1. – ThedaCare in Waupaca reported a man bitten by his neighbor’s dog.

• Aug 1. – A Stevens Point man reported that two jet skis almost hit his dock on Round Lake.

• Aug. 1 – ThedaCare in New London reported a person was bit in the face by the neighbor’s dog.

• Aug 1. – A New London man on Huntley Road reported he and his wife got into an argument and she drove off in a truck registered in his name.

• Aug. 1 – Clintonville Police Department advised on a situation where a man took in a child and the child drank an entire bottle of vodka. They also passed along information about a man lying in the ditch by the storage sheds on Jepson Road.

• Aug. 2 – Wildflowers Restaurant in King reported they fired an employee because of accounting issues. Now $4,000 was misplaced.

• Aug. 2 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a fight between two residents. No injuries.

• Aug. 2 – A 94-year-old New London man on Buelow Road reported that his family yells at him all the time.

• Aug. 2 – A Weyauwega man on Desert Road reported someone was cutting his electric fence.

• Aug. 2 – An unknown caller reported a suspicious woman rolling around in the grass. It turned out the woman was stretching her back after kayaking.

• Aug. 3 – A Pine River woman reported a suicidal man was driving around. He left his belongings at Health and Fitness Headquarters in Waupaca and on Snapchat said, “If you don’t have time for me, I’m going to kill myself.”

• Aug 3 – A cell phone caller reported an adult fell off an ATV and could not feel anything from the neck down.

• Aug. 3 – A New London woman on Bear lake Road reported a man grabbed her by the neck and broke her necklace. Drinking was involved.

• Aug. 3 – A Waupaca resident came across an intoxicated woman in her 30s walking in the roadway using her cell phone as a flashlight. The caller stopped and the woman asked for a ride. The caller wasn’t comfortable with that.

• Aug. 3 – A Weyauwega man on Little River Road reported a man fell asleep while at a stop sign. The caller turned the engine off. The man was unresponsive but breathing.

• Aug. 4 – A New London woman on County Trunk HH reported her ex-husband was “going off the deep end.” He was using cocaine and threatening her. He said there would be a “blood bath” if the cops are called.

• Aug. 4 – Aspirus in Waupaca called for an officer. A patient was yelling at a therapist.

• Aug. 4 – The Chimney Inn in Weyauwega reported two men punched the gambling machine, broke some glass and left in a white Corvettte.

• Aug. 4 – An unknown man at a local campground called to report that his golf clubs were stolen.

• Aug. 4 – A Waupaca man on the E1000 block of State Highway 54 reported a woman was taking pills and trying to kill herself.

• Aug 4. – A Waupaca man on Spencer Lake Road reported a silver pickup truck backed into a driveway and turned off the engine. It appeared the driver passed out with his foot sticking out the window. The vehicle had been there for an hour.

• Aug. 5 – A New London man requested the water patrol visit Bear Lake. There were boats pulling tubers and not obeying the no-wake rules.

• Aug. 5. – An anonymous caller reported that a group of people gather at an accident site where a person died a few years ago. They spin their tires and damage the road.

• Aug. 6 – The Landing Strip reported an intoxicated man walking down the frontage road because he didn’t want to pay for a cab ride to Stevens Point.

• Aug. 5 – A Waupaca man on King Road reported a man walking through his backyard wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.

• Aug. 6 – An anonymous caller reported a man out on bail was at a residence he was not supposed to not have any contact. He was mowing the yard.
• Aug. 6 – An anonymous caller complained about loud music coming from the sandbar on Long Lake.

• Aug. 6 – Bear Lake Resort in Manawa reported a man refusing to leave and a group of men being rude to the staff. There was pushing and screaming.

• Aug. 6 – A Manawa woman on Swan Road reported the death of a man. He was passed out and not breathing.

• Aug. 7 – A Waupaca woman on Smith Street reported her ex-boyfriend kicked her out of his truck.

• Aug. 7 – Weyauwega Police reported being in pursuit of a man driving a tan sedan near Little River Road.

• Aug. 7 – An Iola man on Rustad Road reported that people were hiding on his property and he’d been watching them for the past week.

• Aug. 7 – A female caller reported a friend “wanted one last drive before he kills himself.” He was passing through Iola four minutes before the call.

• Aug. 7 – An unknown caller reported a shaggy-looking man walking along State Highway 54 near the Shell station. He was gesticulating and cursing at drivers and appeared to be smoking a joint.

• Aug. 7 – A cell phone caller reported a tree in flames that was in contact with a power line on Apple Tree Lane in Waupaca.

• Aug. 7 – A Waupaca woman on Melody Lane reported two men were attempting to enter her home.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped multiple boats. There were numerous deer-auto collisions and many reports of controlled burns. There was a report of a person hitting a 500-pound bear and two reports of cat bites. There was a report of a loose pony and another of a loose cow in Clintonville. One snapping turtle was removed from a road.
