Three local teams earn No. 1 seed

Playoffs begin Sunday, Aug. 14, for the Badger Amateur Baseball Association and Dairyland Baseball League.
Scandinavia and defending champion Little Falls received a No. 1 seed in the South-Central and West divisions of the BABA, respectively, while defending champion Waupaca and Hortonville are the top two seeds in the Dairyland.
Three of those four teams will host a first-round playoff game. Scandinavia will face Green Lake and Little Falls will host Tilleda in the BABA, while Hofa Park will head to Waupaca and Hortonville is the home team for its matchup with Nichols in Nichols.
The BABA season will wrap up Sunday, Sept. 4, with the Grand Championship game to be hosted by the South-Central or East champion, while the Dairyland’s Grand Championship game is set for Sunday, Aug. 28, at a location to be determined.

Aug. 14
Division Semifinals
South-Central Division: No. 4 Green Lake at No. 1 Scandinavia; No. 3 Plover at No. 2 New London.
West Division: No. 4 Tilleda at No. 1 Little Falls; No. 3 Caroline at No. 2 Tigerton.
East Division: No. 4 Marion at No. 1 Neopit; No. 3 Gresham at No. 2 Clintonville.
North Division: No. 4 Elderon at No. 1 Aniwa; No. 3 Antigo/Polar at No. 2 Eland.
Aug. 21
Division Finals (highest seeds host).
Aug. 28
BABA Semifinals: East champion at South-Central champion; West champion at North champion.
Sept. 4
Grand Championship at South-Central/East winner.
Dairyland League Playoffs
Aug. 14
