Rhodes

The Waupaca Area Public Library will celebrate Jack Rhodes Day all day on Thursday, Feb. 2.

For many years, Rhodes screened classic films at the library, every Thursday in February and on the first Thursdays of the other months during most of the year.

He introduced each movie with comments about the film’s cast and crew, cinematic legacy, historical context and anecdotes about its production and reception.

In recognition of his contribution, the library will showfive free movies, show video clips of Rhodes speaking about movies, and provide popcorn and refreshments.
