Seaman, Robert

Robert “Bob” Julius Seaman, 85, of Clintonville, WI and Fort Myers, FL, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2023, surrounded by family. 

Bob was born on November 27, 1937, in West Salem, WI, the spoiled son of Julius and Dorothy Seaman. On September 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jean Patmythes, at St. Monica Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay, WI. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeanie, their four children and eight grandchildren, Julie (James) Motz, of Hales Corners, WI, their two daughters Jenna (Jacob Glahn) and Erica (Nicholas Johnson); Mark (Jill) Seaman, of Merrill, WI, their two sons Michael (Rita O’Connell) and Andrew (Kelci); Lynn (Jeff) Saeger of Huntersville, NC, their two daughters Kimberly and Kaitlyn (Alex) Karl; and Kiki (Jon) Laundrie, of Appleton, WI, their two daughters Maria and Vanessa. He is also survived by sisters, Mary Ritchart and Joan (Terrence) Hoffman, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and wonderful friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edmund and William, and sister Emagene Moran.

Bob was proud to have served in the Army Reserves as Company Clerk for nine years. He worked his way up through the banking industry to become longtime president of Dairyman’s State Bank, Clintonville, before retiring in 2000. He was an avid and very good golfer, and loved to travel and visit his many friends and family. But, most of all, he loved life at the lake with Jeanie. Bob was a very involved community member in Wisconsin and Florida doing what he could to help those in need. He volunteered for numerous organizations. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Visitation at the church 9:00-11:00 a.m. Inurnment St. Rose Cemetery. If desired, please wear blue in honor of Bob’s favorite color. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org). 

Bob’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the 8th floor doctors and nursing staff at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI, and to the supportive team from Unity Hospice for their compassionate care of Bob.
