The Clintonville boys’ basketball team traveled to Green Bay on Friday, Dec. 28 to take on the Shawano Hawks. They returned home with a 45-36 win.
The two teams were evenly matched with Clintonville taking an 11-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead by one point in the second quarter to hold a 24-22 lead at halftime.
The Truckers once again outscored the Hawks by one point in the third quarter, 10-9. The fourth quarter was all Truckers as they outscored the Hawks by six points to win the game 45-36.
John Schultz led the Truckers with 17 points. Aaron Ziemer scored 9, while Jesse Brauer scored 8. Schultz and Ziemer each made two three-pointers.
Clintonville travels to Ripon on Thursday, Jan. 3.
