The Weyauwega-Fremont boys’ seventh-grade basketball team wrapped up its season Dec. 6 with a 27-6 win over Manawa.
After not playing well against Shiocton in the first game of the season, the Hawks improved in all facets of the game, according to coach Jeff Fahser.
“Defensively, we got better as the season went on,” he said. “As we started to understand the importance of help side defense, our games got much more competitive after playing teams the second time around. It was a pleasure to coach these young gentlemen this year. I am looking forward to seeing them all play next year at the eighth-grade level.”
