SCANDINAVIA – After nearly 12 years in business, The Trading Company antique store recently announced it will be permanently closing.
The Trading Company located at E2094 Weinmann Road is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays or by appointment. Owners Harry and Kathy Lorge are in the process of an inventory reduction sale, offering 10-50% off most items.
The store’s inventory includes hunting and fishing items, tools, shovels, license plates, cast iron, wooden boxes, tupperware, vintage bowls, cookie jars, autographed items, sports cards, glass cases, oil and gas cans, jars, bottles, military uniforms and collectibles, lanterns and train collectibles. The business also has Iola Car Show collectibles for sale such as buttons, pins and posters.
Remaining inventory will be sold at the Lorge’s store Timeless Vintage and Consignment in Little Chute.
“We would like to thank our customers who shopped at our store, especially those repeat customers during the Car Show,” Kathy Lorge said.
The Lorges purchased the business in August 2014 from Gerald and Sharon Jorgenson who had operated it for 10 years. The Trading Company’s final closing date will be early next month.
