• Aug. 24 – Door County Sheriff’s Department reported a 78-year-old man was having trouble breathing. The man’s wife was in Door County and learned of the emergency.

• Aug. 24 – A man reported a suspicious white make with piercings dressed in all black clothing that looked “like he was on something.” The man was heading northbound on Highway 22.

• Aug. 24 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported a possible assault as a patient had a posterior rib fracture of unknown origin.

• Aug. 24 – A woman reported she was trying to get a wasp out of her Ford Ranger and she jumped a culvert. She said the vehicle was totaled.

• Aug. 24 – A woman reported her daughter hid her keys. The daughter said she would only give them back if the mother gave her cigarettes.

• Aug. 24 - A man reported his ex-girlfriend in Minnesota was harassing and messaging him on various social media accounts.

• Aug. 24 – A man reported hearing an explosion and he provided an address. He could smell smoke but flames were not visible.

• Aug. 24 – A man reported a pit bull and two other dogs were on his hunting land. He had the dogs on camera.

• Aug. 24 – An anonymous caller reported he or she was at a bonfire and two men were waving around loaded handguns with laser sights and pointing them about.

• Aug. 26 – A man reported his mailbox was cut down and a person duct taped it back together.

• Aug. 26 – A woman was driving and talking about the time her phone accidently dialed 911. Her phone was listening to the conversation and dialed 911 upon hearing 911.

• Aug. 26 – A woman reported a man was trespassing on her property after being warned multiple times.

• Aug. 26 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a youth exposed another youth by “pantsing,” a prank where a person’s trousers or shorts are pulled down without their permission.

• Aug. 26 – A woman requested a welfare check on some children that were playing outside all day without parental supervision.

• Aug. 26 – A man reported another man was going through a mental health crisis.

• Aug. 26 – Wally World Tavern reported hearing suspicious scream from a woman. They checked outside but did not find anyone.

• Aug. 27 – A woman reported she was not getting along with her husband. He left her and drove off smelling of marijuana.

• Aug. 27 – An anonymous caller reported an abandoned gold-colored sedan that had been parked in the same spot for a month.

• Aug. 27 – A man requested a welfare check on a sickly and bedridden man whose cell phone was dead.

• Aug. 27 – A man reported that his ex (wife or girlfriend) was threatening to kill him.

• Aug. 27 – A 911 caller reported a hunting blind flew off a trailer and was blocking traffic.

• Aug. 27 – A man reported his landlord threw all of his belongings outside without notice.

• Aug. 28 – A woman reported that a juvenile had been punching and kicking her.

• Aug. 28 – A woman reported that four teenagers were “running around in their underwear” and climbing on the Fremont Bridge.

• Aug. 28 – A man reported two women were screaming and spitting on cars.

• Aug. 29 – A woman reported she left her purse in the bathroom. She found it in a garbage can and $1,200 was missing.

• Aug. 29 – A man reported someone did burn-outs in his lawn the night before.

• Aug. 29 – An anonymous caller reported a white dune buggy and a four wheeler with loud mufflers were “tearing up and down” County Trunk S.

• Aug. 29 – Avina of Weyauwega reported a large fire near the crossroads.

• Aug. 29 – A woman reported hearing five or six gunshots.

• Aug. 29 – The Waupaca County Jail reported a 34-year-old man tried to hang himself.

• Aug. 29 – A man requested a welfare check on a woman that said via Snapchat she had a loaded gun and that he was sorry.

• Aug. 30 – A woman reported she was drinking with her husband at a wedding near County Trunk C. They had a verbal dispute and he left her in a white Chevy 2500.

• Aug. 30 – A man reported his storage unit was broken into on June 23. He inspected it and it seemed nothing was taken. He was wrong. His generator was missing.

• Aug. 30 – A caller reported a white Subaru was swerving in and out of the lane and a person was flinging empty beer cans out the window.

• There were seven deer-related calls, including a woman that reported a fawn was trapped in her porch railing. She gave permission to cut post to free the deer. Eight controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped two boats. A woman reported being bit by a cat that “looked sickly.” Ten goats were reported running loose. ThedaCare Waupaca reported a woman was going to euthanize her cat and the cat bit her. There were numerous reports of vehicles striking cones and barrels in construction zones, including a truck pulling a pontoon boat that was “all over the roadway” and knocked over a “bunch of cones.”
