Clintonville softball shutout versus Denmark

DENMARK-Clintonville Truckers softball went on the road to take on Denmark on April 27 in a North Eastern conference matchup.

Denmark got up early as a bases loaded walk gave them a 1-0 lead in the first inning, and they extended their lead in the bottom of the third inning, as a fielder’s choice, ground out RBI and a single on a fly ball made the score 4-0.

A two-run double by Olivia Frank made the score 6-0, as she hit a line drive to right field to extend the Denmark lead.

Two errors by Clintonville created runs for Denmark that grew their lead to 8-0, and a two run double by Rebekah Dittmer to center field made the score 10-0 in the fifth inning and brought a stoppage to the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
