WEYAUWEGA – A Day of Appreciation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to thank those who have done so much to keep our nation free for 250 years and to former Horse & Buggy Days Kings & Queens who have done so much to keep Weyauwega a great place to play, work and live.
At 10 a.m., the Weyauwega-Fremont High School will present a special Veterans Day Program in the high school gymnasium. Everyone is invited to come at 9 a.m. (before the program) for coffee and student-offered baked goods in the high school’s forum room. Come to help celebrate the 250th birthday of our country’s freedom and pay tribute to our veterans who have given so much to make it so.
Immediately following the program at 11:30 a.m., the Weyauwega Area Historical Society and Avina Nursing Home invite all Weyauwega-area veterans and a guest to gather at First Presbyterian Church at 200 S. Pine St. for a delicious brunch and social time, all offered in appreciation for your service.
