STEVENS POINT — Jessica Meis, 37, entered pleas of not guilty in connection to allegedly attempting to poison her ex.
Meis is facing two charges of placing foreign objects in edibles and one charge of aggravated battery. All three charges are considered felonies.
The victim, Meis’ ex, suffered illness for over a year that led him to visit several emergency rooms and specialists to try and determine the cause of his fatigue, dizziness, low blood pressure, and headaches. The victim eventually installed a camera in his kitchen in July, which captured Meis tampering with his drinks by adding eye drops.
According to court records, the victim and Jessica Meis filed for divorce in Jan. 2025. Their judgment of divorce was granted in June 2025.
Meis is expected back in Portage County court on Dec. 7, 2026.
