STEVENS POINT — Sara Pientka reached a plea deal in connection to her sister, Jeanette Pientka’s, murder.

Pientka, 46, plead guilty on Aug. 28 to failing to report a crime, disorderly conduct, and three charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. She will be sentenced on Sept. 2 in Portage County Court.

Jeanette Pientka was found stabbed to death in her Town of Carson home on July 21. A contractor arrived to Pientka’s residence and found her deceased in the front entry way.

Sara Pientka and Lyndon Hood were arrested in connection to Pientka’s murder. The brutal stabbing occurred after a judge ordered Pientka and Hood to vacate a residence owned by Pientka’s family. The home was in the process of being sold to fund a family member’s medical treatment.

Hood allegedly confronted the victim at her residence, stabbed her 11 times, and then fled the scene with Pientka. Pientka reportedly was present for the murder but made no efforts to seek medical help or call 911.

Hood remains in custody on a $1 million bond and faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide.
