Wega man arrested for child porn, drugs

Authorities have arrested a man suspected of possessing child pornography.

According to Weyauwega Police Chief Gerald Poltrock, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the New Zealand Digital Child Exploitation Team were investigating photos and videos depicting child pornography that were posted on social media.

They contacted Weyauwega police when the images were traced to a home on High Street in Weyauwega.

Weyauwega police and the Waupaca County SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home and arrested a man who lives there.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken into custody and referred to the district attorney’s office for charges of possession of child pornography, maintaining a drug house, manufacturing psyilocybin mushrooms and possession of drug paraphernalia.
