4-H honors Heise with Top 10 Key Award

Posted

NEW LONDON — Kylie Heise of New London, a member of the local Sandy Knoll 4-H Club, was one of just 10 youth in Wisconsin to receive the prestigious Top 10 Key Award at a ceremony Nov. 1 at the Green Lake Conference Center.
The Key Award is the highest honor a Wisconsin 4-H member can receive. Youth who earn the award at the local and county levels may apply for the state-level Top 10. Recipients are determined based on their 4-H projects and activities, leadership, personal development, and their involvement within county 4-H and the community.
Heise currently serves as a Sandy Knoll 4-H Club officer and is deeply involved in club community service projects. At the county level, her commitment includes serving as a summer camp counselor and assisting with the county fair food stand.
She participates in a variety of projects, including the 4-H Dog Project, where she shows her dogs, Abby and Remi, in Showmanship, Obedience, Rally, and Agility events.
The Key Awards and Top 10 are sponsored by Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation, which supports programs encouraging agricultural education across the state. Wisconsin 4-H Positive Youth Development is part of the UW–Madison Division of Extension.
