STEVENS POINT — Jordan Coyle is being held on a $1 million cash bond for sexual assault charges in connection to the Sept. 11 Amber Alert.
On Sept. 11, 2025, an Amber Alert was issued for a missing six-year-old child that was believed to be with Coyle. Due to a prior conviction, Coyle was prohibited from residing with children, but despite this had been living with the six-year-old child prior to the Amber Alert.
Coyle and the child were located in the woods on Sept. 13, where the child was found safe and Coyle was taken into custody. The child’s mother, Chelsie Lehmann, is also facing charges in connection to the Amber Alert.
On Jan. 9, 2026, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab issues a report containing the results of DNA evidence processing which indicated Coyle had recent sexual contact with the six-year-old child. Coyle is facing felony charges of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault with the modifier of Persistent Repeater and Interference with Child Custody.
During his Jan. 12 bail/bond hearing, Coyle appeared by video while in custody. At this time, the state requested a $1 million bond with the conditions to have no contact with the victim or her parents “in any way, shape, or form, including 3rd party.” Coyle’s attorney requested a lower cash bond, but ultimately his cash bond was set at $1 million. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 16.
If found guilty of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault, the sentence can carry up to 60 years in prison in the state of Wisconsin. If found guilty of Interference with Child Custody, the sentence can carry up to three and a half years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both in the state of Wisconsin.
