Almond man pleads not guilty in Amber Alert case

Posted

STEVENS POINT — Jordan Coyle has entered not guilty pleas for a charge of 1st Degree Sexual Assault with A Person under Age of 13 (Modifier: Persistent Repeater) and a charge of Interference with Child Custody.
The charges stem from his connection to the Sept. 2025 Amber Alert that was issued for a missing six-year-old. The child was found unharmed with Coyle in woods near Almond. The child’s mother, Chelsie Lehmann, is also facing charges in connection to the Amber Alert. Lehmann recently stuck a plea deal that found her guilty of Neglecting a Child, but dismissed the charges of Harboring a Felon and Encouraging a Parole Violation.
On March 6, Coyle appeared by video, in custody, to an arraignment. During this time, Coyle entered not guilty pleas for both charges. As a result, a jury trial was scheduled to begin on May 12, 2026 and is expected to last four days. According to court documents, all parties agreed that a large jury pool of about 75 people will be needed.
Coyle is next expected in court on April 8 for a motion hearing.
