• June 8 – A man reported he believed someone hacked his alarm system, gained entrance to his house and was “cutting wood” out of the inside of his home. He said some tools and a fan were also stolen.
• June 8 – A caller reported a gas leak while digging.
• June 8 – The sheriff’s office received a letter that stated drugs were possibly being sold at a Fremont residence.
• June 8 – A woman reported she sent 12 checks to Discover, they were intercepted and rewritten. She advised they bank and they closed her account.
• June 8 – A caller reported two ponies were tied up near an electrical pole all weekend and appeared neglected.
• June 8 – A man approached a deputy and said an old friend was following him. He refused to provide his name or the name of the old friend.
• June 8 – A daughter reported that her mother’s boyfriend struck her mother in the face.
• June 8 – A utility work hit a gas line on County Trunk I and Ginger Trace.
• June 8 – An unknown caller reported a sheepdog was left in a vehicle for three hours. The caller approached the owner and he “got in her face.”
• June 8 – A caller reported a juvenile was “out of control.” The juvenile kept going into a gun room after being told not to. The juvenile also threw things at the caller, including throwing a shoe at the caller’s vehicle.
• June 8 – A caller reported being contacted by PayPal and was told of an outstanding balance. The caller spoke with a person that persuaded him to withdraw $19,000 from his bank account and instructed to go to a Bitcoin store in Wisconsin Rapids.
• June 8 – A man reported a drone was back again. It hung around his property for about an hour and went north.
• June 9 – A woman reported her daughter got married. After the wedding, her son’s girlfriend pushed down the bride in a driveway and she broke her wrist.
• June 9 – The Waupaca Learning Center reported two parents were being disorderly and were separated.
• June 9 – Portage County Sheriff’s Office advised a man with dementia was driving a Toyota Camry on U.S. Highway 10 and passed by Amherst heading for Waupaca.
• June 9 – A county highway crew reported a pickup fell off a trailer and was blocking the roadway.
• June 10 – A caller reported his neighbor removed all of his survey flags and no trespassing signs.
• June 10 – A caller reported a barefoot woman laid down in a ditch and then got up and crawled into a car that did not belong to her.
• June 10 – A caller reported that when he leaves his house, things get moved around such as a deer mount moving from one wall to the other. Also, doorknobs were broken off and the Freon was drained from his AC unit.
• June 10 – A woman reported a juvenile had a knife and was punching holes in a wall.
• June 10 – Ramada Grand Seasons reported a disorderly situation with two females and a male.
• June 11 – A man reported his wife ran away wearing pajamas.
• June 11 – A man reported a fraud. He was told that he missed a jury trial and needed to deposit some money. He deposited $1,000.
• June 11 – A man requested a welfare check on a woman that was running north on State Highway 110. She left behind a white vehicle on the side of the road.
• June 11 – A caller reported a man driving a silver Camry keeps stealing eggs from a roadside stand. The caller has photos of the theft.
• June 11 – A man reported the death of a 58-year-old man.
• June 11 –A caller reported a suspicious man walking around on the train tracks with a flashlight.
• There were five deer-related calls during this period. Nine controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped three boats. A caller reported a Great Dane almost attacked her husband. A caller reported two dogs were running loose near Nohr Road. A caller reported being bitten by a stray cat.
