• Aug. 3 – A caller reported a dump truck going in the opposite direction blew a tire and it crashed into the caller’s windshield.
• Aug. 3 – A caller reported he was in a boat and he found what appears to be a human skeleton with a visible backbone and femur.
• Aug. 3 – A man reported two youth were recklessly driving and riding an ATV through the neighborhood, including leaving tracks in the caller’s yard.
• Aug. 3 – An Amazon driver reported she was dropping off packages at an address for weeks and they were still left outside. Also she noticed bugs inside the residence when she looked into a window.
• Aug. 3 – A woman reported there was a suspicious person in her neighbor’s backyard with a flashlight.
• Aug. 4 – A man reported a person worked on his driveway and he was not satisfied with the work and now the person was not answering his calls.
• Aug. 4 – A woman requested a welfare check on her boyfriend who she was arguing with for the past few days. He told her he was going to shoot himself and he owned firearms.
• Aug. 4 – An anonymous caller provided an address to a house that had a “horde of felines” that were not fixed, malnourished, dirty, and lacked veterinary care.
• Aug. 4 – A caller reported a trespasser was photographed by a trail camera. The subject was a woman wearing a “little black dress.”
• Aug. 4 – A man reported his wife had post-partum depression after the loss of a child. Now, a 9mm handgun was missing and his wife was in the bedroom.
• Aug. 5 – A caller reported an electrical box in the middle of a cornfield was hit by something and wires were hanging out.
• Aug. 5 – A caller reported a white plane was circling his property. It was not a crop duster.
• Aug. 5 – A caller reported a suspicious pest control company making dubious offers and claims.
• Aug. 5 – A caller reported a stranded 21-foot white pontoon boat.
• Aug. 5 – A man reported juveniles wearing all black, facemasks and latex gloves were heading down Riverside Drive to Churchill Street. The man tried speaking to him. They did not answer.
• Aug. 6 – Iola Police Department requested deputies be on the lookout for a U-Haul vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run.
• Aug. 7 – A caller reported a fraudulent $15,000 loan was taken out in her name for Northern Arizona University. She does not go to school.
• Aug. 7 – A woman requested to speak to an officer because her husband “doesn’t do anything.”
• Aug. 7 – A man reported his girlfriend was throwing things and would not leave him alone.
• Aug. 8 – A woman reported a suspicious smell when walking past a house with its front windows open. It smelled like something died in the house.
• Aug. 8 – A woman reported a boat with black and green stripes was pulling wakeboarders too close to the boat docks.
• Aug. 8 – A woman reported an older man was following her in a beige van.
• Aug. 8 – A man reported his wife took some dog medication and went out to a field to kill herself.
• Aug. 9 – A caller reported an older Chevy truck with amber running lights was driving through peoples yards and tearing things up.
• Aug. 9 – A caller reported that some people were tubing and then they hijacked a lawnmower and ditched it by County Trunk X. They also went into a bus and the bus keys were missing.
• Aug. 9 – A caller reported a headstone decoration she put on her mother’s gravesite is missing.
• There were six deer-related calls during this period. Three controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped 18 boats. A woman reported she was chased and bitten by two dogs while riding her bicycle. A rabid fox was reported wandering in the roadway. A black beef cow was reported to be running in a ditch near Ogdensburg. A caller reported a dog bit a 38-year-old woman on the forehead and removed some flesh. A man reported he was out for a walk and was chased by two Rottweilers.
