Judith A. Dain, age 80, of the Town of Waupaca, passed away at home on Thursday, October 2, 2025, with family at her side. She was born in Stevens Point on August 1, 1945 to Keith and Ann (Moss) McIntyre. On October 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Rodney “Junior” Dain, and they were just shy of celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary.
Judy and Junior enjoyed traveling together - Mexico and Hawaii were just a couple of the places they visited. Family was everything to her - she loved spending time with her grandchildren and hosting family get-togethers. Judy was a wonderful painter and excelled in painting murals. Baking and sewing were other hobbies she enjoyed as well as caring for her flower beds and gardens.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Junior; children: Brian Dain, Randall (Brenda) Dain and Cheryl (Mike) Fischer; grandchildren: Marjorie (Cody), Brandi (Kevin), Jacob and Austin; great grandchildren: Amelia, Evelyn, Meredith and Valerie; and one brother, Jim (Andie) McIntyre.
Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Jan Barnhart and Joan Best.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025 at Hidden Waters Golf Course. She will be laid to rest at Sheridan Cemetery in the Town of Farmington. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the ThedaCare Hospice team, especially Sarah, Heidi, Breann, Dave and Kelly, for the compassionate care given to Judy. The Maple Crest Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
