WAUPACA — A Green Bay exotic dancer is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after a dispute at The Landing Strip, an adult entertainment club in the Town of Lind.
Alexis M. Czerp, 18, was charged Monday in Waupaca County Circuit Court with two felony counts of discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, as well as resisting an officer, disorderly conduct, and possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug.
According to the criminal complaint, on March 6, Waupaca County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the club after a 911 caller reported a performer, known by the stage name “Dia,” was being disorderly and refusing to leave the premises. The caller also noted that the individual had allegedly threatened to bring a firearm to the club during a previous incident.
Deputies spoke with a manager who indicated that Czerp was in a dressing room gathering her belongings. The manager noted Czerp appeared to be experiencing mental health issues. Investigators later learned the disturbance began because Czerp reportedly failed to leave the stage in a timely manner and made comments to another dancer.
The situation intensified as Czerp exited the building and headed toward the parking lot. She was agitated and repeatedly ignored deputies’ requests to stop and speak with them. At one point, she allegedly told officers she was going to walk off “before she got violent for no reason.”
When a deputy attempted to grab Czerp’s wrist to prevent her from entering her vehicle, she reportedly pulled away and shouted profanities at the officer. Deputies then placed her in an escort hold to detain her. She resisted and yelled and knocked a deputy’s body camera off.
Once handcuffed, the complaint alleges Czerp turned toward a detective sergeant and spat saliva at him, narrowly missing him. While deputies were waiting for a spit hood, she reportedly turned toward another deputy and spat in his direction as well.
During the struggle, deputies noted Czerp was holding a key in a fashion that “could have easily been used as an edged weapon.” Officers had to pry her hand open to remove the keys after she refused to let go. After refusing to enter a squad car, she was eventually assisted into the vehicle by her leg and transported to the Waupaca County Jail.
During a search at the jail, staff reportedly discovered a small bag in Czerp’s purse containing 17 pills. The pills were identified as tizanidine hydrochloride, a prescription-only muscle relaxant.
