WAUPACA — A 63-year-old Waupaca man and his 35-year-old son face felony charges after police executed a search warrant at his North Main Street apartment in early November. Wayne J. Nolan (father) and Lucas J. Nolan were charged on Dec. 8 in Waupaca County Circuit Court.
The father is charged with Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place as party to a crime and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The son is charged with Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
According to the criminal complaint, Narcotics Officer Tom Grant wrote that he executed a search warrant on Nov. 11 with other officers at the residence elder Nolan shared with his son, Lucas Nolan.
During the search, officers determined the living room served as Wayne Nolan’s primary living area. On a makeshift coffee table next to Nolan’s wallet, police allegedly found four clear zip-lock baggies, cut straws, tweezers, and plastic containers with white residue. Authorities tested a container found in the living room, which returned a positive result for the presence of methamphetamine and MDMA.
Police also located Lucas Nolan in a bedroom and officers found a glass skull ashtray that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with glass smoking pipes and a digital scale. Lucas Nolan reportedly admitted to having methamphetamine paraphernalia in the bedroom.
Judge Yvette Kienert has been assigned to the case.
