Members of the New London business community and Griebenow Eyecare staff celebrated the completion of its newly expanded clinic at 105 Northridge Drive Thursday, Aug. 15.

The expansion included construction of a 2,410-square-foot addition and remodel of the existing New London clinic, which now totals 5.442 square feet.
The project broke ground on Sept. 26, 2023, under the direction of MJI Building Services.

Griebenow Eyecare Business Manager Melissa Sylte said numerous local contractors and professional tradesmen helped complete the project.

“This construction project is a true testament to all the talented trade professionals who call New London and the surrounding area home,” said Sylte.

Griebenow Eyecare founded its New London optometric practice in 1979 and serves Northeast Wisconsin with clinics in New London and Clintonville.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony at New London Thursday, the clinic held an open house and offered tours of the expanded facility.

The clinic expansion added additional examination rooms, diagnostic and treatment rooms and added additional space to the clinic’s optical.

“In the past several years, our doctors have recognized the growing need for advanced eye care treatments for eye health issues such as dry eyes, glaucoma and myopia control, “ said Sylte.

The expansion will help them offer more treatments that are cutting-edge to patients closer to home, she said.

“The clinic addition also allowed us to have our newest optometrist, Dr. Chris Lopez, to expand his clinic offerings in New London,” Sylte said.

Dr. Lopez joined Dr. Molly Benck and Dr. Craig Sylte in 2022.
