The New London School District welcomed 11 new staff members for the start of the 2024-25 academic year.
Six new staff members will greet students at the Intermediate/Middle School this semester.
Three new staff joined the high school educational team and two were added at the elementary school level.
Middle School
Justin Ranch from Sioux City Iowa hopes to build up the New London Middle School Choir program and prepare students for high school.
Ranch will teach choir, exploratory music and show choir.
He is a graduate of Briar Cliff University and has prior teaching experience in Sturgeon Bay and Altoona.
Ranch said he became a teacher because he was inspired by one of his own teachers and he wanted to have a positive impact on student’s lives.
Coral Newton is a New London native and says she is happy to be back.
Newton will teach sixth grade special education.
She earned her bachelor’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her master’s degree at UW-Superior.
“I enjoy working with kids and I wanted a career that gave me the ability to use creative problem solving. Special education was perfect for me and is now my passion,” said Newton.
“My goal is to help my students see and meet their full potential.”
Kay Krejcarek is a Speech-Language Pathologist from New London, Wisconsin.
Krejcarek earned her bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from UW-Eau Claire and her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from UW-Milwaukee.
She has previously worked in the Oshkosh and Appleton Area School Districts.
Krejcarek will serve students in all grade levels at the Intermediate/Middle School this year.
She said she became a Speech-Language Pathologist to combine her love of language and communication with her passion for helping others and working with children.
She is looking forward to getting to know her students and helping them reach their goals.
Nadine Grundy is an ELL/Bilingual Teacher from Munich Germany.
Grundy earned her master’s in Spanish and minor in communication and business at the University of Munich, Germany. She has a license in Elementary 1-8 and Special Education K-12 from the American Board.
She has previously taught in Virginia, New London ISMS and Lincoln Elementary schools.
Grundy said, “I’ve always loved being around children and I want to have a positive impact on children’s lives. They inspire me so that I want to motivate them and equip them with the skills they need to succeed academically and in life. After a few years in education, I discovered that I have a passion for helping students who come from different countries and cultures. Being a German native I know what it’s like to move to a new country and learn a different culture and language.”
Cody Clark is a Pulaski, Wisconsin native with a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Before entering the profession of teaching, he had seven years in sales and marketing and served 11 years coaching high school sports.
Clark has one year of experience teaching and says he’s looking forward to continuing enhancing his skills as a new educator.
“I have a passion for serving others,” said Clark.
He will teach sixth grade social studies at the intermediate middle school this year.
Samantha Alger-Feser is a school psychologist from Pulaski.
Alger-Feser has previous experience at Pulaski elementary, middle and high school, as well as working with the Boys and Girls Club.
Alger-Feser received her professional degrees at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and Alverno College.
“I became a school psychologist because I love working with students, psychology and data,” she said.
She will serve New London students in both the high school and middle school levels.
High School
Morgyn Zielke is a school counselor from Manawa, Wisconsin.
Zielke earned her sociology degree from St. Norbert College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with her master’s degree in school counseling.
She has previously served as a school counseling intern at Preble High School and at the Aldo Leopold K-8 school, a therapy benefits coordinator at Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin. Zielke also served as a nanny for over five years and as a caregiver at the Daycare Center of New London.
She will serve at New London High School as a school counselor.
“I’m excited to embark on this journey at NLHS where I hope to make a positive and lasting impact on students’ lives,” she said.
Scott Winkler is an experienced educator from Gillett, Wisconsin.
Winkler will teach advanced placement literature and composition, oral and interpersonal communication, written communication and research techniques at New London High School.
He earned his bachelor’s from St. Norbert College and his master’s, doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Winkler has previously served in the Green Bay Area Public Schools, Luxemburg-Casco, Gillett and Appleton East High Schools for a total of 29 years.
He said he feels blessed to have had exceptional teachers at every level of his own education, which inspired him to become a teacher and continue a legacy worth preserving.
“I also teach because I believe in empowering students to achieve their dreams, helping them become productive, engaged and happy members of society at every level. To me, teaching is a calling, and it’s one I’m blessed to have answered,” said Winkler.
Michael Charlesworth is an English teacher from Neenah Wisconsin. He received his secondary education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has two years teaching experience at Middleton High School.
Charlesworth will teach creative writing, literature workshop and English II at New London High School.
“I want to establish myself as a trusted and useful member of the community whose purpose is to serve my students and the people in their lives,” said Charlesworth.
Elementary School
Kristin Brock is an experienced educator in all grade levels with a bachelor’s in elementary education and a minor in ESL from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She earned her master’s degree in alternative education from Marion University.
Brock has taught English Learners in the Clintonville Public Schools for the past 20 years.
She will be teaching English Learners in grades K-4 at Lincoln Elementary. She will work primarily with students and their families whose first language is Spanish or Haitian Creole, and she will provide EL support to students in their regular education classes.
Brock said her grandmother was a teacher and she inspired her to join the profession.
“I have always wanted to teach in some capacity ever since I can remember,” said Brock.
Becca Beschta is an elementary teacher from Winchester, Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she majored in elementary education and environmental studies.
She has previously taught three years of kindergarten students in Oshkosh.
Beschta will teach first grade at Sugar Bush Elementary.
“I became a teacher to share the lifelong joy of learning,” said Beschta. “The ‘ah-ha’ moments are my favorite when a student gets something they’ve been working on.”
