Hortonville Polar took on Wausau West at home on April 10, putting their undefeated record on the line.
The Polar Bears took an early 1-0 win over Wausau West in the bottom of the second inning as Xavier Enriquez drove in Bryce Hintz with a single.
In the bottom of the third inning, Hortonville’s bats got hot as they drove in five runs Derek Baumbach drove in a run with a single, Tristan Berrens
scored a run on a passed ball and Enriquez managed to help the Polar Bears to get three runs on the board as a groundball single along with a Wausau
West error brought home, Hintz, Isaac Behnke and Baumbach to make the score 6-0.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Hortonville extended the lead as Baumbach drove in a run with a single, making the score 7-0.
Hortonville tallied two more runs in the sixth inning, as they went up 9-0, as Gary Wuest and Garrett Smith both scored.
Wausau West scored a run in the final inning as the Polar Bears closed out the game 9-1 and advanced their record to 5-0 on the regular season.
