Karen Lennea Johnson, 83, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Karen was born on May 4, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to George and Lennea (Rylander) Johnson. During her high school years, she began working with First National Bank/Chase Bank in Chicago through a work experience program. What started as a student opportunity grew into a lifelong career. Karen dedicated her professional life to Chase Bank, where she rose through the ranks and ultimately retired as Vice President of Human Resources.

She is survived by her sister, Gail Johnson; her brother, Duane Johnson (Anna); nephews, Michael Prosen (Carla), Eric Johnson and Jeff Bentley; niece, Michelle Brown (Mack Brown); grand-nephews, Matthew Prosen (Emily), Johnny Brown (Mina Oliver), and Kevin Prosen; and cousins, Keith Rylander, David Holzworth, and Donald Holzworth.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, George Johnson and Lennea (Rylander) Johnson.

A Memorial Service for Karen will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca on Saturday, October 11 at 11:00 AM. A memorial visitation will be held at church, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of Waupaca and Trinity Lutheran Church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
