Posted

NEW DUBLIN — The luck of the Irish is returning to the Wolf River valley as the Shamrock Club of New Dublin prepares to host its 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Celebration. Running from March 16 through March 21, this year’s festivities carry the official theme, “Where the Wolf Flows, Shamrocks Grow”.

A Week of Irish Heritage
The celebration kicks off Monday, March 16, with Leprechaun Day, where the town officially changes its name to “New Dublin” for the week. Leprechauns will appear at various schools, nursing homes, and local businesses throughout the day.
The week continues with a variety of community-focused events:
•Tuesday, March 17 (Hooligan Day): Traditional corned beef and cabbage will be served at Pup’s Irish Pub on Hwy 54 in North Dublin (Northport) and many other local establishments.

•Wednesday, March 18 (Irish Caroling): Community members are invited to meet at Trinity Terrace at 4:00 pm (Division Street entrance) to sing traditional Irish sing-a-longs at St. Joseph Residence and Washington Center.
•Thursday, March 19 (Family Program): A night of Irish entertainment begins at 7 p.m. at the New London High School auditorium. The evening features songs, dances, and humor, as well as the formal introduction of the 2026 Irish Man, Irish Rose, Irish Lad, Irish Lass and Grand Marshal. Admission is free.
•Friday, March 20 (Céili): A traditional gathering of music and dance starts at 7 p.m. at Crystal Falls Banquet and Restaurant. A caller will be on hand to teach traditional Irish dance.

Parade and Irish Fest
The week culminates on Saturday, March 21, with the St. Patrick’s Day Grand Parade at 1 p.m. in downtown New Dublin. Recognized as Wisconsin’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade, the event features over 100 units, including marching and bagpipe bands, clowns, and clan floats.

The celebration continues at New Dublin Irish Fest from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. under a huge heated big top near the Festival Foods parking lot.
Musical Lineup: Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys perform from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Headliner: Reilly will perform from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Details: Entry to Irish Fest is $5 for the day. A free shuttle service provided by Wolf River Trips and Campground will run from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. around the New Dublin and Northport areas.
