New London girls defeat Waupaca on the way to the regional final

The New London Bulldogs faced the Waupaca Comets in the opening round of the WIAA Girls state tournament on Feb. 27.

The Bulldogs got balanced scoring across the board as Chesney Magolski scored 15 points, Jenna Handschke contributed 13, and both Shaye Allen and Morgan Jones scored eight points each.

Waupaca senior Taylor Kling scored 17 points for the Comets, but scoring was hard to come by for her teammates as New London would not allow her teammates to beat them.

The Bulldogs defeated Waupaca by a score of 70-41 to move on to the regional final on Feb. 28 to face Shawano on the road, but could not keep pace as they were eliminated losing 54-41.
