Ronald J. Radke, age 76 of Manawa, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Theda Care Hospital in Appleton.
Ron was born in Clintonville on July 5, 1948, to the late Meinhard and Cora (Kriesel) Radke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Church in Marion, WI and then graduated from Marion High School in 1966. He was united in marriage to his wife Waunita Walker on June 16, 1974, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Manawa.
Ron worked at Saputo Cheese Factory for 36 years, but outside of that, he lived a very active life and was involved with many activities including: cheering on the Packers, gardening, deer hunting, league bowling, church dart ball – serving one year as a captain, playing softball and traveling to Florida and Colorado. He dearly loved his family, especially his beloved wife of 50 years, and he truly cherished every second with his four grandkids.
Ron is survived by his wife, Waunita; children: Tyler (Stacy) Radke, Jenny (Jerry) Smith, Travis Radke, Jolene (Justin) Jaramillo; grandchildren: Allie, Brennan, Lily, Max; sister: Judy Bates; brothers: John (Elaine) Radke, Jeff (Linda) Radke; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Weylin (Nancy) Walker, Julie (Jeff) Wurth, Cathy (Gus) Golden; many beloved nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws: Chancy and Glendore Walker.
The funeral service for Ron will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, Marion. A visitation for Ron will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
Ron was a quiet, intelligent man with a great sense of humor, and he will be so missed.
