Roadwork: County Trunk R

STEVENS POINT – Starting October 7, the Portage County Highway Department will resurface County Trunk R from Jefferson Street to U.S. Highway 10. The work will consist of milling off the top layer of the existing asphalt surface and repaving a new asphalt surface. The work will be completed with one lane open in each direction but travelers can expect delays as certain operations will require temporary closures and lane shifts utilizing flaggers. The work is scheduled to be completed by October 13 if the weather cooperates.
