Stevens Point Police Report

• September 19 – A man reported he was upset he had received a subpoena. He was upset because he stated he had been informed that no charges were going to be pressed against him.
• September 10 – Officers responded to Doolittle Drive for a disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The boyfriend and ten-month-old child were not located at the residence upon arrival.
• September 19 – Officers were dispatched to Strongs Avenue for a graffiti complaint. Officers were not able to identify any suspects.
• September 19 – A physical disturbance on Bush Street resulted in the arrest of one male.
• September 19 – A stolen vehicle that was involved in a disturbance in the morning hours was located at the Portage County Public Library.
• September 19 – A man entered the Little White Inn and sat at the bar to avoid being outside in the rain, but would not buy anything. The owner requested he purchase something or leave. Ultimately, the man decided to leave without issue.
• September 19 – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a driver for an absolute sobriety violation, in addition to receiving citations for an underage non-tavern related 1st offense, no insurance, operating while suspended, and failure to obey a sign.
• September 19 – Lots of litter was located in an area near Five Below. The individuals in the area stated a car that had left had been responsible for the litter.
• September 20 – Two males were found in the tunnel by the public library and were asked to move along.
• September 20 – A man claimed to own property on West Street but had no proof of owning it. He told the officer he wanted the officer to “tell his dead sister’s son” to leave the property because of his “snarky” behavior.
• September 20 – A 20-year-old man was seen traveling at 62 miles per hour in a 25-miles-per-hour speed zone.
• September 21 – Officers spoke with Graffitis Bar and Grill about making sure patrons aren’t walking outside the establishment with drinks after observing several customers walk outside of the bar with open intoxicants.
• September 21 – A 42-year-old male was observed downtown with an open intoxicant. He was later arrested for two counts of felony bail jumping, three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, and a probation hold.
• September 21 – Multiple individuals reported being spit on by a male individual downtown. Officers located the male suspect and took him into custody on multiple counts of disorderly conduct.
• September 21 – Officers reported to Phillips Street for a report of a disturbance where a male had a laceration on his arm. Officers provided aid on scene and one male was transported to the hospital.
• September 21 – Two men were arguing over a sleeping bag on Strongs Avenue. During the argument, one man hit the other with a can. The man was issued a disorderly conduct citation.
• September 21 – Officers conducted a welfare check on a female in the area of Heffron Street and Church Street. The female was taken to jail on a probation hold.
• September 22 – A bike was reported stolen on Smith Street.
• September 22 – A man reported his neighbor had been leaving trash in his yard. The trash ended up being handpicked blades of grass that were thrown over the fence. The man and his neighbor haven’t been getting along for years, reportedly.
• September 22 – A 68-year-old woman ordered a bike online through Walmart. She noticed her bill was $4,000 when it should have been only a few hundred dollars. She stated she called Walmart and yelled at them until the workers allegedly provided her with a name of someone that reportedly ordered stuff under the woman’s name.
• September 22 – A man reported that a mint green substance had been thrown against his garage door. He stated that four to five years ago someone painted over his Trump sign with something of a similar color.
• September 22 – Officers took report for a theft of a guitar from Texas Avenue.
• September 22 – Officers received an email about a road rage incident. The email stated that a man was following a woman due to a political sticker on her vehicle. The woman stated the man followed her and was making obscene gestures that scared her child.
• September 23 – Officers were dispatched to Main Street for a call regarding two individuals that weren’t supposed to be near each other due to a protection order. After investigating, an arrest was made.
• September 23 – Library security witnessed an unknown male pass something to another male, then leave. The male then smelled like weed. The male claimed he was handed a Coca Cola.
• September 24 – Officers responded to a report of an individual throwing a rock at a truck and damaging it on Dixon Street.
• September 24 – A man was going through the dumpster at the Stevens Point Armory on Jefferson Street. He claimed he was looking for food.
• September 24 – Officers responded to Metro Market on Pinecrest Avenue for property crime.
• September 24 – Officers were notified of a stolen vehicle that was entering Stevens Point. The vehicle was located, stopped, and the driver was arrested.
• September 24 – A female reported that her apartment was broken into while she was in Portage County Jail.
• September 24 – A male was seen standing at the stop sign by Union Street and Maria Drive and looked like he was going to throw rocks at passing cars.
