• May 15 – A registered sex offender cut off his ankle monitor at South Point Laundromat.
• May 15 – A woman asked a man why he filed a noise complaint against her. She stated the man then got irritated and called her an expletive while yelling.
• May 15 – A report was made that there was an individual using drugs and leaving needles on the ground near West Clark Street.
• May 15 – An officer stopped a kid on a miniature dirt bike on the roadway on First Street and Fifth Avenue.
• May 16 – A fight was reported to have occurred at the drive thru of Taco Bell on Division Street.
• May 16 – A man was found drunk and passed out in the YMCA’s lawn. A yard worker was unable to complete job duties with the man present. The man was identified and given a ride home.
• May 16 – A woman was visiting her mother at an assisted living center during supervised visitations. The woman’s back was hurting so she pulled her pants down to apply a lidocaine patch. The facility director informed officers that this was not the first time she had broken rules and been non-responsive to their requests. The woman was informed she would receive a disorderly conduct citation and be trespassed for the time being.
• May 17 – A 22-year-old man was highly intoxicated and laying in someone else’s home with vomit on himself and the carpet. The residents did not want enforcement against the man. The man was walked home by friends.
• May 17 – Several college-aged students were found on the roof and attempting to get on the roof of a downtown business.
• May 17 – A man stopped for driving the wrong way on Clark Street was arrested for OWI 1st offense.
• May 17 – A woman reported hearing someone knock on her back window on Second Street. She didn’t see anyone, but informed officers that a week ago the screen on the front door was partially torn out and the door wouldn’t lock properly.
• May 17 – A truck with no plates, door handles, or a rear brake light was parked on the grass of an Oak Avenue residence.
• May 17 – A resident on Wilshire Boulevard reported hearing a “high-pitched gunshot.”
• May 18 – Two parents spoke with officers about an argument their children got into at school, which may have included significant slurs.
• May 18 – A male on Whiting Avenue was transported to the hospital for an overdose.
• May 18 – A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor battery with domestic abuse enhancer after a domestic abuse incident with her boyfriend.
• May 19 – An 83-year-old woman reported she was out $90,000 after a phone scam. She received a call from someone pretending to work for Amazon. The individual asked her if she had purchased various items, to which she told the individual she did not. She was then transferred to a fake ATF agent who she communicated with for three months. The scammer was able to gather her personal information and check in on her whereabouts with her multiple times a day. The woman was in the process of freezing her bank accounts.
• May 19 – A juvenile male was hanging out with his friends two months ago when they thought it would be funny to pull his pants down and take a video of it. The video has now resurfaced from a third party who was not present that night. The parents of the juvenile want the video deleted.
• May 20 – Neighbors on Pine Ridge Road reported someone was using a bow and arrow and throwing knives near the roadway. Officers found the target for the arrows and knives. After a failed attempt at contact, officers were able to speak with the 40-year-old man. He admitted to shooting his bow and was issued a warning.
• May 20 – A 74-year-old man on Maria Drive was issued a citation following a report of a man shooting a firearm in the city.
• May 21 – A 73-year-old woman reported she believes she is being stalked by her exes and her former property managers.
