• Aug. 21 – A man refused to leave the Stevens Point Post Office and called the staff “thieves” after a disagreement about a package.
• Aug. 21 – A caller reported items had been stolen from his store booth at Call it New, Call it Antique.
• Aug. 22 – A 23-year-old man was cited for urinating in public near Second Street and Main Street.
• Aug. 22 – A 21-year-old man was arrested on Division Street for OWI first offense.
• Aug. 22 – A woman reported a former patient may be stalking her.
• Aug. 22 – A 47-year-old woman reported a suspicious male in the area that had been allegedly following her. Officers made contact with the man who stated he was in the area to visit a friend, who was a confirmed homeowner nearby. The woman then began to report possibly being tracked by rival handyman companied and having her vehicle tampered with.
• Aug. 23 – An officer observed a 34-year-old man with a beer bottle by The Square.
• Aug. 23 – A fight occurred in The Square between two 19-year-olds and two 23-year-olds. Multiple citations were issued and one was taken into custody.
• Aug. 23 – A woman reported receiving 58 sheets of plywood from Home Depot despite not ordering any plywood. She stated she contacted Home Depot eight times and they stated they knew nothing about the delivery. The plywood was supposed to be delivered to a man in Hudson, Wisc. Officers advised her to reach out to the man that ordered the plywood.
• Aug. 23 – Officers responded to the La Quinta Inn on Main Street for an arrest of man with alcohol and hands down his pants.
• Aug. 23 – A hit and run crash on Highway 10 resulted in one 52-year-old man being placed under arrest.
• Aug. 23 – A caller reported a man was following her in Target and taking pictures of her. When she notified an employee at Target, the man disappeared.
• Aug. 24 – Officers located possible methamphetamine in a rainbow bag at Walgreens on Church Street.
• Aug. 24 – A bike was stolen from the area of Fifth Avenue and Clayton Avenue.
• Aug. 24 – A 33-year-old woman was upset her neighbor heard about her ambulance call over the radio. The woman was advised anyone can listen to the radio with a scanner as it is public information.
• Aug. 24 – A caller reported a man in a wheelchair was acting like he was shooting at passing vehicles on Reserve Street. Officers were unable to locate the man.
• Aug. 24 – An officer made contact with three teenage boys who were riding bikes in the middle of the road and cutting off vehicles.
• Aug. 24 – A caller reported receiving harassing messages from his estranged wife. The wife was contacted and advised to stop sending the messages.
• Aug. 24 – A 91-year-old man left the hospital and attempted to return home by foot after his ride missed his calls. He was located a short time later and transported back to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries after a fall.
• Aug. 25 – Volunteers assisted a community service officer in cleaning up four homeless camps at Mead Park and three homeless camps near Black Bridge.
• Aug. 25 – A concrete truck had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision, which lead to cement spilling out of the truck and onto Division Street and Dixon Street.
• Aug. 25 – A man entered a gated front yard on Clark Street and stole a pride flag.
• Aug. 26 – Two firearms were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Jefferson Street.
• Aug. 26 – A group of juveniles were kicked out of Target for building forts. Officers observed the juveniles behaving and eating at Culvers.
• Aug. 27 – Officers located a 45-year-old man outside of Kims Barrel Inn causing a disturbance. When officers made contact with the man they discovered he was in possession of two knives. A witness stated that a group of guys were fighting at the bar earlier and the man had randomly gotten upset. He began to say that he would fight someone. The man was then released with his wife and daughter once they arrived on scene.
• Aug. 27 – A wallet and cash were stolen from a vehicle on Whiting Avenue.
