In a matchup between the Clintonville Truckers and New London Bulldogs, the Truckers came out the victor after winning in four competitive sets.
In the first set, the Bulldogs took the early 11-3 lead before the Truckers started to mount a comeback. The Truckers pulled even late in the set to make it a 24-24 score. A kill by Kennedy Sunita broke the tie, and the Truckers took the first set 26-24.
In the second set, the Bulldogs took a 15-14 before the Truckers went on an 11-6 run to end the set at a score of 25-21.
Once again, the Bulldogs took an early lead. In the third set, they took an 11-7 lead, and the Truckers took momentum to get a 21-18 lead. The Bulldogs pushed the set to a 27-27 score. Bristol Elsholtz’s serving kept the Bulldogs alive as they took the third set 29-27.
The momentum in the Trucker’s direction in the fourth set to get an 8-4 lead. The Bulldogs made another comeback, tying the set at eight a piece.
A block by Zoey Ferg broke a 12-12 tie in favor of the Truckers. They began a 13-7 run that was capped off by a kill by McKaylee Stephenson. To win the set 25-19 and win the match 3-1.
