Posted

The Clintonville Truckers dominated Oconto Falls softball on May 4 at Bucholtz Park in a North Eastern conference showdown.

The Truckers took an early 2-0 lead after a solo homerun by Claire Papendorf and an RBI double by Emily Hagman.

Clintonville continued the onslaught in the second inning, as Papendorf added to her RBI total with a three-run double to extend her team’s lead to 5-0. A bases-loaded walk and a three-run double by Marley Tauferner made the score 9-0.

Oconto Falls put up two-runs in the fourth inning with a double that drove in a run and an RBI pop out to make the deficit 9-2.

The Truckers continued to pour it on in the fifth inning with a single by Morgan Retzlaff into an error that brought in runs.

Hagman drove in two runs on a single, which were the decisive runs as they ended the game 13-2 in the fifth inning, as it evoked the 10-run rule.

Papendorf and Hagman led the Truckers with four RBI’s each, as Papendorf got the win on the mound with four strikeouts and Hagman was two-for-two at the plate.
