Rep. Tony Wied announced that the House passed his bill to rename the Waupaca Post Office in honor of Master Sgt. Melvin O. Handrich, a Waupaca County native and Medal of Honor recipient who served in both WWII and Korea. “This renaming will ensure his legacy will be remembered for generations to come,” he said.
