The Waupaca Comets hosted Denmark on Sept. 30 in volleyball in a four-set matchup.
The opening set was close, with Waupaca taking a 23-21 lead after a kill from Taylor Kling. Denmark answered back and tied the score at 24-24.
Peyton Carlson finished off the set for the Comets, winning it 27-25 with a kill.
In the second set, Denmark took the early lead, and they finished off the set 25-21.
Waupaca started strong in the third set, quickly building an 11-4 lead. The Comets kept up the pressure, and a kill from Carlson pushed the score to 18-6.
The Comets would take the third set 25-11 and take a 2-1 match lead.
In the fourth set, it became a back-and-forth match, but the Comets pulled away as they won 25-21, and a Carlson kill sealed the victory as the Comets won the fourth set.
