NEW LONDON – Sheriff Tim Wilz will be the guest speaker in May for the Wolf River Area Patriots monthly forum series. The forum is on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m.
In 2022, Sheriff Wilz won a second four-year term as Waupaca County Sheriff. He has announced that he will run for a third term in November 2026. He is known as a “constitutional sheriff,” a sheriff who works to defend citizens’ rights expressed in the Bill of Rights. Wilz will discuss what is happening in regards to law enforcement in our area. He has been outspoken about supporting improvements in border enforcement under the Trump administration. He will also talk about what needs to happen in Wisconsin state policy to improve the department’s ability to protect citizens from crime.
The forum will be held at the Washington Center at 500 W. Washington St. Visitors are asked to enter from the south side entrance off Dickinson Street. The public is invited.
