Hortonville shuts out Appleton East 82–0 in dominant dual performance

Hortonville Polar Bears wrestling delivered a commanding performance on the mat on Dec.11, sweeping Appleton East 82–0 in a one-sided dual meet highlighted by pins, technical falls, and multiple forfeits.

The Polar Bears set the tone early at 106 pounds, where Max Rentsch wasted little time, pinning Antonio Jones King in just 1:04. Hortonville continued to build momentum as AJ Woerpel (113), Brody Schroeder (120), and Cash Botting (144) each earned victories by forfeit.

At 126 pounds, Samuel Ellerman secured a quick fall over Hayden Rossey in 1:03, followed closely by Solomon Behnke’s pin of Paul Martin at 132 in 1:22. Ethan Drury showcased his technical skill at 138, earning a 20–1 technical fall over Trace Van Asten.

The middle weights remained just as dominant. Jack Cleereman pinned Josiah Lins in a brisk 37 seconds at 150, while Kyle Agnew posted an 18–2 technical fall over Lucas Pack at 157. Pierce Gansen added another forfeit win at 165.

Hortonville closed the dual with a flurry of pins. Cameron Steudel pinned Aiden Pack in 1:18 at 175, Brock Schmidt recorded a fall over Carlos Nunn in 2:34 at 190, and Nathan McHugh pinned Hudson Paschke in 2:24 at 215. Heavyweight Henry Huza sealed the shutout with a forfeit win at 285.
