The New London Public Museum will host a downtown walking tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
This self-paced tour offers people an opportunity to learn about historic buildings in downtown New London and celebrate the revitalization of Worth North Water Street.
Tickets for the walk are $5 each, anyone under 15 gets in free.
The tour features nine buildings with volunteer historians sharing information about the businesses and people.
Eight other stops will showcase panels with historic photos and information.
Participants will be able to join the tour as they please, grab a bite to eat, and visit local businesses.
Tickets are $5 per person, free for youths under 15, and on sale now at the museum. Tickets will be also available on Oct. 12 at Events Everlasting and Familiar Grounds. Sponsors include Events Everlasting, S.C. Swiderski LLC, The Print Shop, First State Bank, Nails by Yiang, Patricia Toney Mary Kay Independent Consultant and Wolf River Lawyers.

The museum, located at 406 S. Pearl St.. is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday year round and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday Labor Day to Memorial Day. Admission is free.
