A man accused of domestic violence involving a gun last Thanksgiving, now faces charges of stalking.

David B. Holder, 29, Clintonville, is charged with one felony count of stalking, 17 counts of violating a restraining order, and three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

On Jan. 25, Waupaca County Circuit Court Judge Raymond Huber issued a restraining order against Holder that will remain in effect until 2028.

The following day, Holder was charged with operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse for a Nov. 23, 2023, incident.

He was accused of punching a hole in the door to the children’s bedroom.

Holder has subsequently been charged with violating a restraining order on Feb. 12 and March 22, 2024.

Holder has been in jail on a $2,500 cash bond since May 3.

On May 15, Waupaca Police Officer Paul Jensen met with the woman who had petitioned for the restraining orders against Holder.

She told Jensen that Holder had called her multiple times from the jail. She said she did not answer the calls because she did not want to speak with Holder.

According to the criminal complaint, a review of jail’s phone records indicated that Holder had called the woman’s phone number 17 times, beginning on May 4.

She told Jensen, “I’m scared for my and my kid’s safety,” the complaint says.

Holder faces up to three years in prison if convicted of felony stalking and nine months on each count of violating a restraining order.
