Tour features Hidden Studios

The 21st annual Hidden Studios Art Tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.

This self-directed driving tour features eight working studios, 23 regional artists and a diverse array of art forms, styles and media.

New Hope in Wood
Located at 10301 County Trunk MM, in Amherst Junction, New Hope in Wood is owned by Paul Klein.

Klein specializes in sculptural lighting – hand-crafted lamps made of wood and stone.

Guest artists are Rebecca Hungerford, who works with decorative and functional pewter; Jennifer Pichler, oil painting; Mary Jo Fox, pen and ink watercolor painting.

Brunett Thielking Art Studios
Located at 1087 County Trunk A, in Amherst Junction, Keven Brunett and Kristin Thielking are sculptors who work in a wide range of materials from glass to cast iron.

Guest artists are Amy Hauber, sculpture and painting; and Brenna Klassen-Glanzer, silver and copper jewelry.

Sharon Fujimoto Glass
Located at 10491 Trout Creek Road, Amherst Junction, Sharon Fujimoto creates on-of-a-kind pieces using blown glass.

Guest artists are Jef Raasch, ceramic sculpture; and Chris and Sue Holmquist, cerammics.

Atelier Vermeil Studio II
Located at 9496 First Street, Nelsonville, Atelier Vermeil Studio II features the stained glass art of designer Mark Brueggeman, as well as his paintings, pastels, intaglio and relief printing, and drawings.

Dick Bemis is the guest artist. His woodturning creations will be featured.

Buzz in Art Studios
Located at 4472 County Trunk J, in Stevens Point, Buzz in Art Studios is owned by Jessie Fritsch.

Fritsch creates vibrant images using encaustics, or hot bees’ wax.

Emily Graf is the guest artist. She works with wet felted wearables and decor.

A Touch of Glass
Located at 8907 State Highway 54, in Amherst, A Touch of Glass is owned by Tammy Rae Wolter whose work features blown borosilicate glass, jewelry and keepsakes.

Guest artists are Randy and Lisa Lee, encaustic photography; and Teresa Lind, sculptures.

Red Sky Studio
Located at 8092 County Trunk GG, in Almond, Red Sky Studio is owned by painters Mary Lee and Gene Reineking.

Basket wever Elise Thornton is the guest artist.

The Wood Plane
Located at 9965 Two Lakes Road, Almond, The Wood Plane showcases the fine woodworking of Mike Jagielo,

Guest artists are Kate Bradley, stone sculptures; and Jennifer Nunnelee, silver and rock jewelry.
